Philip Paget is a Partner and Head of Gordons Employment Law department. He qualified as a solicitor in 1990. Philip has all round experience in employment law, specifically on the litigation side and has established a reputation for himself in the area. He frequently advises on the employment aspects of large scale strategic HR issues where he has provided advice to both the public and private sectors. Philip is able to draw on his considerable experience of employment tribunal work having handled a wide variety of cases including unfair dismissal, redundancy, TUPE, whistle blowing, breach of contract and discrimination cases. He also has significant High Court experience of restrictive covenant and confidential information litigation. His day to day work involves him in all aspects of employment law and he describes his specialist areas as including: executive severance agreements and contracts, strategic planning, collective restructuring and redundancy exercises, restrictive covenants, confidential information, unfair dismissal and all types of discrimination. Clients have described Philip as providing a "consistently professional service, understanding our sector and providing a confident and re-assuring service" and have said that his advice is "extremely practical". The Legal 500 describes him as "the very able Philip Paget ! " Philip is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and has an LLB (Hons) from Newcastle.
