Part of our An Employment Lawyers Guide to... series of events. These are one-hour webinars which introduce employment lawyers to specialist areas, highlighting issues to be aware of and red flags to look out for. These webinars are pitched at mid-level lawyers with a view to developing their practices.

This webinar will look at how the UK financial services industry is regulated and give an overview of the key areas of financial regulation touching upon employment lawyers’ day-to-day practice, including:

  • Remuneration
  • SMCR
  • Employee misconduct and underperformance and the interplay with the FCA/PRA Conduct Rules and the concept of Fitness and Propriety (including the Regulators’ focus on ‘non-financial misconduct and D&I)
  • The regulatory rules on whistleblowing
  • Managing employment issues within the context of a regulatory investigation.
