Robert is an Associate in Evershed Sutherlands' Employment, Labour and Pensions Practice Group. Robert joined Eversheds Sutherland in January 2022, having qualified as a solicitor in August 2020.

Robert deals with both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.

Robert has experience in dealing with complex Employment Tribunal litigation and regularly acts for Respondents in claims involving: unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, unlawful deduction of wages and whistleblowing claims.

Robert is well versed in all aspects of the litigation process and regularly represents Respondents in Tribunal at Preliminary Hearings (case management and substantive).

In respect of non-contentious work, Robert has experience in advising on a range of employment issues including: Data Subject Access Requests, redundancies, changes in terms and conditions, exits and settlement agreements and advising on grievance, capability and disability processes.

Robert also has a keen interest, and is regularly involved in, advising clients on Industrial Relation matters such as: industrial action, union recognition and collective agreements.

Before qualifying into Employment Law, Robert gained significant litigation experience (civil) in the Marine and Healthcare sectors.
