Deborah advises both employer and employee clients on a wide range of employment issues including in relation to TUPE transfers, business restructures, redundancy situations, and settlement agreements.
Deborah has specific experience in advising clients in the pursuance and defence of various contentious employment matters in relation to claims involving unfair dismissal, discrimination, employment status, equal pay and trade union detriment. She also has significant experience of drafting and revising employee-related HR documentation such as contracts of employment, organisational policies and procedures, and employee handbooks ensuring these are specifically tailored to meet the diverse needs of individual clients.
She has experience of dealing with clients across the public, private and third sectors and understands the differing needs and goals of these clients, ensuring at all times that specific legal support is provided.
Deborah is extremely focused on providing clients with constructive solutions to their employment law concerns, and strives to provide clear advice which is mindful of the risks, but which also encourages swift and commercially desirable outcomes.
Deborah trained with the firm and during her traineeship spent a period of 6 months on secondment to a public sector client of the firm. This provided Deborah with a real insight and practical knowledge of the sector and the very specific needs of organisations operating within it.
