Ian Machray is a partner and head of Field Seymour Parkes' employment team. He specialises in complex TUPE matters, the enforcement of restraints of trade and high value or technical tribunal litigation.

Ian has a reputation for providing clear, concise and practical advice and has extensive experience on advising on all aspects of employment law. Ian has brought cases before the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal and has a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes in employment litigation. He enjoys assisting employers with their obligations under TUPE arising from corporate transactions and outsourcing.

He has recently successfully defended age discrimination and constructive unfair dismissal claims following an eight day tribunal hearing and advised a client on the legal implications of closure of part of a high-profile business affecting in excess of 1,500 employees.

Ian’s time is split between work, family and Arsenal, but not necessarily in that order.
