Caroline Lee qualified as a solicitor in 2002 after completing her Masters Degree in Legal Practice. She worked in a national law firm as a specialist employment lawyer and became a partner and Head of the Employment Team, Birmingham in 2006, before establishing Caroline Lee Associates Limited, a specialist employment law firm, in 2010.

Caroline advises on all aspects of employment law including employment contracts and policies, disputes, grievance, disciplinary and investigative matters, crisis situations, discrimination, compensation and benefits, settlement agreements, TUPE, company restructuring and outsourcing, data protection, mediation, confidentiality and restrictive covenant matters, director issues, whistleblowing, redundancy and employment tribunal litigation. She also conducts investigations on behalf of clients, for example regarding allegations of misconduct or employee grievances.

Caroline has extensive experience of advising a broad client base, including national and international companies, public sector and not for profit organisations, charities, schools, housing associations and local authorities. She also undertakes work on behalf of private individuals, including by way of union supported complaints, insurance backed claims and privately paying clients.

She advises public sector and regulated professionals regarding their statutory and regulatory duties, including representation at professional tribunals.

She is a regular guest speaker at national seminars and has lectured for various learning providers, local authorities, medical and educational establishments, as well as offering bespoke training sessions on a variety of employment law topics.

Fees

  • Fixed fee for basic advice on terms and effect of a settlement agreement. (Fee starting from: 50.00 + VAT)
  • Fixed fee first meeting. (Fee starting from: 100.00 + VAT) *

*Fixed fee arrangements will be based upon a scope of work set out in the member's engagement letter. (The scope may be limited and the eventual fee may be higher.)
