I am a specialist Employment Solicitor, who advises both employers and employees on the complex issues in Employment Law. My experience is extensive, having specialised in Employment Law for over 15 years. I am a Partner and head of Employment Law at Wannops LLP. For employers, I advise on a wide range of issues including the drafting of contracts, company handbooks, employment issues on company takeovers and mergers, day to day employment issues, director issues, employment law issues on insolvency, restrictive covenants and enforcement, and employment tribunal and other disputes, including defending claims relating to Unfair Dismissal, Discrimination, and Breach of Contract. My work for employers also extends to the provision of training on specific employment law subjects, which has included compliance with discrimination legislation, workplace monitoring, family friendly employment law issues, managing dismissal, and redundancy and re-organisation. For employees, I am be able to advice on contracts of employment, director advice, and the bringing of all claims in the employment tribunal and court system, including Unfair Dismissal, Discrimination claims and matters relating to the enforcement of employee's employment rights. From 2008 to 2010, I was the Chairman of the Lawnet Employment Group, a national group of employment solicitors, who, as solicitors within Lawnet member firms, shared resources on training, knowledge, and the practice of employment law. My role included the chairing of twice yearly meetings that directed the training agenda of the group, including training courses, together with group wide initiatives relating to the provision and marketing of employment law services. From 2010 to 2014, I lectured in Employment Law and Employment Practice, on the Institute of Legal Executives Level 3 Course for Northbrook College.
