I qualified as a solicitor in 2010, immediately moving into employment and discrimination law, and work in Leigh Day's employment department. I was recommended in Legal 500 2017 as 'impeccable'.

I joined Leigh Day in February 2013 having previously held the position of employment solicitor at a trade union. I trained at a law firm in Cambridge and helped establish and manage the firm’s position as the sole legal aid employment law provider in the region. Since qualification I have provided extensive Pro Bono assistance to the Citizens Advice Bureau and The Law Centre Federation.

I have worked on cases involving a wide range of issues and sectors including maternity and pregnancy discrimination, disability discrimination, sex discrimination and race discrimination, unfair dismissal, restructuring, internal dispute resolution, victimisation, equal pay and whistleblowing. I am very experienced in all stages of litigation from commencement to settlement, and regularly achieve significant settlements for clients pre and post-issuing of proceedings. I also regularly advise on settlement agreements.

In addition to specialising in workplace discrimination, I also have experience of working on civil discrimination claims. For example, in 2018 I successfully represented a disabled man in what was considered as a ‘landmark’ judgment and set a number of legal precedents.

I have been published in the ELA Briefing, contributed to ELA consultation responses, and reviewed the Practical Law Practice Note on civil discrimination claims. I also co-authored Leigh Day's Guide to Bringing an Employment Tribunal Claim and contributed to its Guide for Disabled Football Fans.

I have been interviewed by the press as a result of my casework, including by the BBC and other news or trade outlets.
